Flinders street station, so pretty
Per Andrew's excitement, I visited the old Melbourne Gaol (jail). I was surprised, because it was really really cool. It was just like the old movies!
I had about 30 mins left so I spent it at the Melbourne Aquarium! So glad I did! It was fun!
I was standing in the tunnel of the shark tank taking pictures looking up, then this guy swam by....
Out loud, I was like "woooaaahhh", like a little kid, I looked around for other people to enjoy the moment with me, but all I saw were kids that had the same look of astonishment as me. Haha, I totally loved it.
FIRST time to hold a starfish!! Yes, again, I was hanging out with the little kids.
I was excited to check out Victoria Market, but it was closed on Mondays. :( I saw some other neat parts of the city, then headed to the biggest train station I've ever seen to catch my ride to the airport.
Is it sad that the best meal I had all day was on the airplane?! Btw, qantas is awesome! Great snacks, movies, awesome blankets, and they call you by name when you get on the plane! By the time we got to the Brisbane airport, I had to sprint- yep full on sprint- to the gate to catch my next flight!
The minute I boarded a prop plane I knew this airport was going to be small, but wow! Amanda could actually meet me at the gate!!! It was a total sorority girl style reunion. So happy to see her!! Easiest airport to navigate by far due to the elimination of choice. Apparently my luggage didn't run as fast as I did in Brisbane because they didn't make the flight. Of course my flight was the last of the day.
If this were going to happen on any leg of this trip, this would be the preferable one! Thank goodness I was able to borrow everything I needed from sweet Amanda. I got to Amanda's and enjoyed the amazing home cooked meal she had waiting for me, got to watch a real Aussie TV show and headed to a very comfy bed!! Ahhhh.
